breathe ilo put a beautiful end to my long journey of wishing for a baby!
Last week my baby, whom I had prayed for such a long time, turned three months old! Often I still can’t believe it when I’m holding my child in my arms, because it took us such a long time to become parents. I know that many women feel the same way! During my own journey, I met like-minded people and we exchanged ideas. That’s why I am writing this testimonial now. I have read countless testimonials about getting pregnant myself. Many of them encouraged me and gave me hope month after month! You experience so many ups and downs when you are trying to conceive. The first part of the cycle consists of creating hope and then giving it your all around ovulation! For some couples, this is certainly not an easy time. I was lucky that my husband never lost the joy and enthusiasm for sex, even though it often served only one purpose – to finally get pregnant. The second half of the cycle then consists of waiting, hoping, waiting, dreaming of a baby, waiting, and then comes the disappointment when the bleeding starts, yet again. After a few days, you muster up new courage and start all over again!
When can you get pregnant?
At the beginning of my fertility journey, I didn’t know much about the female cycle. I thought I’d come off birth control, have lots of sex, and after a few weeks, I’d have a positive test in my hands. Probably even sooner than I wanted, because at first, I was still unsure if it was the right time to have a child. I started to worry when nothing happened, no pregnancy occurred. I asked my doctor for a consultation. Both of us were asked to come in for the appointment. There we learned that there were some crucial things to consider. It truly was quite an educational talk. We learned that every woman can only get pregnant a few days a month, the fertile days. The fertile window describes the time just before ovulation, and the time of ovulation itself. After ovulation, there is no chance to get pregnant. I now realize that it is especially important to know when ovulation occurs. But contrary to what most people believe, that’s not simply the 14th or 15th day of the cycle. By the way, I also didn’t know that the first day of the cycle is the first day of my period. Every woman’s cylce is different and only very few women have ‘textbook cycles’. This information was very helpful! As soon as I got home, I started researching.
What options are there to determine fertile days?
There are different ways to do this. For example, measuring your basal body temperature right after waking up in the morning, writing it down, and observing the temperature curve. If the temperature rises slightly for several days, then you are in the second half of the cycle and ovulation has already occurred. Since I hadn’t heard about this before I thought it’s interesting, but I didn’t just want to know if ovulation had occurred, I wanted to know in advance when I’m ovulating!
Then there are ovulation test strips that you pee on in the morning. The closer you get to ovulation, the more visible the second line on the strip becomes. I found that a bit unhygienic and not very sustainable due to the amount of waste that accumulates.
Through exchanges in fertility forums, I then came across this exciting product which seemed to be the perfect solution! breathe ilo can determine the fertile window via breath analysis in real-time! I was intrigued so I ordered immediately! Only a few days later, the breathe ilo fertility tracker arrived! I only had to wait for the first day of my cycle and then we could start! Full of excitement I installed the app and prepared everything. I even practiced breathing. On the first day of my cycle, we started. After a few days, using the breathe ilo was part of my morning routine and felt natural to me. The app told me every day which phase of my cycle I’m in.
When am I ovulating?
What a surprise! I was ovulation around day 12 of my cycle, which was much earlier than what we had thought! Now I knew! We had always been trying too late! breathe ilo is a great device that keeps learning with every cycle and becomes more and more accurate.
After four months it finally worked!
Overjoyed, I took one pregnancy test after another! I was obsessed with the positive tests! A few days later, I had my first ultrasound! I was so nervous! Everything was perfect! I had a beautiful pregnancy, gave birth to a beautiful baby and I am forever grateful to breathe ilo!
