Does daily sex increase the chances of conception?
How often should a couple have sex for ‘the equation 1 + 1 = 3’ to work out? There is no strict key nor beat for the dance of conception, but there certainly is a recommendation from fertility experts.
Within the fertility window, there should be intercourse once a day. If more frequently, sperm quality could be affected. By the way, the time of day is irrelevant, but at least 20 hours should have passed between ejaculations. But don’t put any extra pressure on yourself and don’t get too tense or go about the business as if on an assembly line. Daily sex within the fertile window is a recommendation. You may and should allow yourself to ‘dance’ as much as you wish, even if ‘the show’ only happens once on the day of ovulation. After all, you are the conductors.
But is there an ideal position for conception?
First things first: Sex should be fun. The most beautiful minor matter in the world bears this title for good reason. As long as both partners are not absolutely in the mood for it, the dance in bed does not necessarily have to be choreographed to help conception.
There is neither an ideal sex position nor an optimal sequence of different positions. Even lying down on your back afterwards or lifting the legs up has no proven benefit. No need to plan for a warm-up session beforehand then.
