7 things that can make quarantine more fun
It’s safe to say that the current developments regarding the Corona virus pandemic are challenging for all of us. Being stuck at home can seem boring at first, especially if you can’t work from home. We have done some research and can assure you that there are indeed plenty of things you can do at home, while we’re all in quarantine. So here we go: This is our list of 7 things that can make quarantine more fun.
Read a book
We all know this too well: In everyday life we often don’t find the time to read on a regular basis. Well, being stuck at home is the perfect opportunity to add some books you’ve been wanting to read to your activity list. For those who don’t fancy the printed word, audio books offer a great alternative. If you own an e-reader, you’ll have the book you want to read with just a few clicks.
Paint a Mandala
Another way to pass the time at home is to paint a mandala. A Mandala is a geometrical structure, which is attributed a magical or spiritual meaning in many different religions. Beyond that, the artistic structure can also contribute greatly to relaxation and act as a meditative activity. Mandala colouring is very meditative and can be a relaxing activity for children as well as adults. By painting mandalas you allow yourself to fully immerse yourself in an activity and to live in the moment. Even Tibetan monks use mandalas as a meditation exercise.
Cook yourself a healthy meal
Eating a healthy and balanced diet is more important than ever in times like these. After all, what you put in your body (or rather not) has a major impact on your immune system and your ability to fight off pathogens. If you don’t feel like cooking all the time, simply prepare a few different dishes in larger quantities. That way you have a small selection and always a ready meal at hand. If you work from home, make sure you take breaks and eat regular meals.
Stay active and join an online Yoga class
As nice as it is at home, getting enough exercise truly isn’t that easy at this time. However, it is especially important to stay active and get some exercise every day. For this reason, online yoga or fitness classes are widely available right now and offer a great way to move your body. You can participate in these classes within the comfort of your own four walls and do something good for your body and mind. On our Instagram channel we will be offering online yoga classes with a certified yoga teacher over these next few weeks. Make sure to check it out!
Use the time to clean
Another way to pass the time at home is to start spring-cleaning early. It’s the perfect chance to give the whole apartment / house a deep clean. The quarantine period is the perfect opportunity to de-clutter your cupboards and drawers and make room for new things.
Decorate your room
If you want to go even further and need a bigger project, you could rearrange your furniture and use the time to liven up your home. You don’t have to be an interior designer to do this: These days you can find a lot of information on the web that can help you to make your home beautiful and harmonious. As you can tell, this is literally one of the things that can make your time in quarantine more beautiful.
Use the time for intimate moments
We’re already hearing rumors that the current quarantine will cause a real baby boom.
